1) Allergen Immunotherapy

  • Although it is a fundamental therapy, the use of immunotherapy has been limited as it requires steady treatment for more than three years and needs to be subcutaneously or sublingually administered.

  • The skin has most immunocytes involved in immune reactions. Drug delivery through the skin using a microneedle patch can achieve the same result with less amount of drug and is an easy way to administer.
